Singular and Plural Nouns
Singular Noun – Words used for one person, place, animal or thing are called as singular nouns.
Plural Noun – Words used for more than one person, places, animals or things are called plural nouns. Most nouns can be made plural by adding –s in the end. E.g. girl – girls, apple – apples.

All proper nouns are in singular form only.
Some nouns are always written in plural form. E.g. jeans, pants, scissors, socks
